Oracle EPM Consultant: (For All Location)

Oracle EPM Consultant will work with customers and Upaya project team to configure and customize Oracle Planning and Budgeting to meet customer business requirements. Consultant will play a key role in successful completion of implementation projects, and also contribute to company and practice-level initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Collect, understand and validate customer business requirements in budgeting, forecasting and reporting, and map their requirements to Oracle Planning and Budgeting functionalities.
  • Conduct working sessions with customers and performing offline project tasks for customers that include requirement documentation and analysis, solution design, system configuration, system and user-acceptance testing, administrator and key user training, and post go-live support.
  • Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of financial and transaction data requires evaluation of numerous factors; document, troubleshoot and escalate support issues with Oracle on customer behalf
  • Assist Project Managers with developing project timeline, managing project scope and deliverables, and setting expectations on timeline and scope with the customers
  • Contribute to internal initiatives in developing pre-built solution, project methodology and service offerings; provide support for sales effort.
  • Document best practices including business and system processes, customer and internal FAQs, and contribute to ramping up new hires and training junior team members.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in enterprise software implementation.
  • Experience with Oracle EPM applications, including Essbase, Hyperion, and Planning and Budgeting (formerly known as PBCS).
  • Experience with SmartView, Web Forms, Reporting Web Studio, Business Rules and Data Management (FDMEE) modules of Oracle EPM.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle EPM solution design using ASO and BSO cubes based on customer requirements and best practice.
  • Experience in implementation and support of ERP systems, particularly NetSuite ERP, is highly desirable.
  • Experience in performing financial analysis functions - planning, forecasting, budgeting and reporting and general knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS regulations a great plus.
